Tasting Notes

Landmark  2B is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot cultivated from selected outstanding quality vineyards. The grapes were harvested at full phenolic maturation stage and the fermenting must was enriched with Cabernet Franc  skins separated from an early stage of a parallel rose wine preparation.
The wine was bottled after 24 months aging in French (75%) and American (25%) oak.

This is a premium wine with full body and color. A wine that can easily compete with heavy spices and meats such as grill and stwes (or Cholent!).  Ready to drink now but can be aged for 5-10 years for a an even more rounded taste.

About Bravdo Winery:

Established in 1999 by Professor Ben Ami Bravdo, a faculty member of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and one of the leading scientists of modern viticulture in the world, and his former student Professors Oded Shoseyov who completed his PhD thesis on the biochemistry of grape and wine flavor evolution.
The winery is located in the heart of the vineyard at the foot-hills of the majestic village of Karmei Yosef, on the way to Jerusalem.

The Shoseyov family began growing grape vines 120 years ago. The cool summer nights and the limestone rich soil at the 50 acres Shoseyov estate are known to produce fine wine grapes back to the time of the Solomon’s kingdom.
The winery is Kosher since 2007 and produces over 50,000 bottles a year. While their single grape such as Cabernet and Shiraz (what an amazing Shiraz!) are great. Their recent inclusion of the Coupage and Landmark 2B blend took the winery to another level (in our opinion!)
